Store Policy

About this store

Metalshop is a New Zealand owned metal fabrication business. Most items listed online are produced to order in our Kelston workshop and may differ slightly from catalogue images.

Ordering & Payment

  • Orders are confirmed once full payment clears. Pricing is shown in NZ dollars and excludes GST unless stated otherwise. GST will be shown in the cart.

  • Secure checkout via credit/debit card, POLi, or bank transfer. We do not store your card details.

  • Because we fabricate to order, standard lead time is 10–15 working days from payment. Large or custom projects may require a separate quoted timeline.

Shipping & Collection

  • Delivery area: New Zealand only.

  • Couriers: NZ Post or Mainfreight, tracked and signature-required.

  • Freight cost: Calculated at checkout or quoted by email for oversize items.

  • Click & Collect: Free collection Mon–Fri, 8 :30 am 4 :30 pm, 10 Cartwright Rd, Kelston (bring order confirmation).

Returns & Refunds

Change of mind

  • Stock items: 7 day return for unused goods in original packaging. Refund less shipping costs.

  • Made-to-order or customised items: No change-of-mind returns, as they are produced specifically for you.

Faulty or damaged goods

  • Covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If your item is faulty, we’ll repair, replace, or refund at our cost. Notify us within seven (7) days of delivery with photos and order number.

Warranty

All products carry a 12-month workmanship warranty under normal use. This sits alongside your rights under the CGA.

To the extent permitted by NZ law, liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods supplied.
